Interview with Anuradha Udunuwara, Engineer, Sri Lanka Telecom
He played the pivotal role in architecting, planning, designing, testing and implementing Sri Lanka’s 1st Metro Ethernet Network (2005) and Sri Lanka’s 1st Carrier Ethernet Network (2008) for Sri Lanka Telecom
IIR Telecoms: What are you looking forward to at Carrier Ethernet APAC?
Anuradha Udunuwara: This is going to be my 1st time speaking at CE APAC. This year along with Asad Naveed, a speaker from Pakistan Telecom and 2 other’s, I co-authored the paper “Evolving Operator Network Architectures with Carrier Ethernet”(now published at the Carrier Ethernet Academy website), presents some of the contents/findings of the paper during last year’s event. This time I’m attending the event as a speaker and panelist and I’m happy that Asad is also attending this time as well. I am thankful to IIR Telecoms and technology, for having us as part of their conference.
Other than sharing my knowledge as a resource person, I’m looking forward to meeting the like-minded people in the region and share the views. I have constant contact with many of them (including the ones from MEF), in Carrier Ethernet LinkedIn group, Ethernet Academy and other forums. I’m sure I’ll meet many of them in-person this time in Singapore.
At the upcoming Carrier Ethernet APAC conference Anuradha will be presenting on ‘The Future of Mobile Networks’. He will also join the interactive panel discussions on ‘Creating Industry Standards To Meet Customer Expectations’ and ‘Guarantee Performance And Minimise Cost’
